No matter how much we say we love creativity on a conscious level, we subconsciously despise and fear it because it presents a level of uncertainty. As human beings, we crave certain and predictable outcomes. And we have tendencies to cling onto traditions and conventional wisdom. That’s why there hasn’t been any world-changing idea in history that was initially met with universal approval.

Empathy fuels connection, while sympathy drives disconnection. When you show deep empathy toward others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy replaces it.
If you have everything else you need in terms of talent and skill, your humanity will come to be your most appealing virtue to an organization
The only thing I dread is not to be worthy of my suffering. Is your dream bigger than your rejections? If it is, maybe it’s time to keep going, instead of giving up.
